Through a series of thresholds from opaque to transparent, Woollahra House, which means secluded living in Woollahra NSW, embraces the future of suburban density by establishing a private experience despite being adjacent to a busy Road, in an area very close to Cooper Park, and with the characteristic of having a slope.
The focus was to create a seamless transition between inside and outside. The intended experience is to be continuously connected with urban context while moving through the house. The Residence is a light-filled home that was designed around a series of gardens and a centralized courtyard. The centralized courtyard has divided the ground floor to two zone the front part of the house has seamless connection to the surrounding urban context and the back part has more privacy to accommodate terrace, dining, family, patio and swimming-pool area.
